The combination of a beach and a pool in one place is harder to find in Alibag than you'd expect. Many resorts have a pool but are not on the beach. Some are beach-adjacent but lack a pool. Sachu's Resort in Sasawane offers both — direct beach access and a private pool.
Why Both Beach and Pool Matter
The beach gives you the full sensory experience — waves, open horizon, sand. It's where you walk, sit and watch sunsets. But the sea isn't always swimmable depending on tides, currents and season.
The pool gives you controlled, always-available swimming. At Sachu's Resort, the pool is private — available only to in-house guests, so it never gets crowded.
Having both means you're never stuck. Whatever the tide, whatever the weather, there's always somewhere to be.
How to Structure Your Days
- Early morning: Walk on Sasawane Beach at sunrise. Usually empty, the light is beautiful.
- Breakfast / meals: Order from the on-site restaurant — fresh Konkani food available daily.
- Mid-morning: Pool time, or a quiet read on the balcony or patio.
- Afternoon: Nap, pool again, or a short trip to a nearby sight.
- Evening: Back to the beach for sunset. The Mumbai skyline lights up across the water as it gets dark.
- Dinner: Under the stars at the resort.
Best Time of Year
October to February — the pool is refreshing without being cold, the beach is at its calmest. The sweet spot.
March to May — hot and humid, but the pool becomes essential. Beach mornings and evenings are pleasant.
June to September (Monsoon) — sea swimming isn't advisable but the pool remains available. The beach in rain has its own dramatic appeal.
Sachu's Resort has direct beach access and a private pool. See room options or check availability.
